Farmhouse and classic kitchens usually have framed fronts — doors with a recessed panel — which we wrap too, with more cutting work in the grooves. Framed fronts carry a 30% surcharge (50% if old film or paint also needs removing). We mostly work this style in light oak tones or matt white/greige from Cover Styl' and SOIF. Side panels — cabinet sides next to a fridge or at the end of a row — are priced separately from the fronts: up to 90 cm from €75, tall (91–200 cm) from €105, incl. VAT. The plinth at the bottom is wrapped per metre, from €10; even 20 or 80 cm counts as a full metre. That way the whole kitchen gets the same new colour, not just the fronts that stand out. What kitchens are typical in Urk?
Urk has two kinds of kitchens. In the old village — Wijk 1 to Wijk 8, a protected conservation area — kitchens are compact and sit in small, deep fishermen's houses: few fronts, lots of corners, often a separate utility room. Demolition is rarely an option here because of the protected status and the tight dimensions, so wrapping is the logical route.
